Bailee Hoops, 30, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday August 9, 2024.
She was born November 18, 1993 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Jimmy Randall Hoops and Maria Lynn Smith.
Bailee was a lifelong resident of La Porte, Indiana. When she was young, she loved to act, sing the ABC's in "opera form", karaoke contests, riding her bike, playing softball and bowling, and if there was a chance for her to get in the water, she would- a trait her daughter enjoyably inherited. She also loved dolls and Barbies and all things Disney- especially The Little Mermaid (Ariel). She always loved to go shopping and would model her outfits as soon as she got home. You would often find Bailee baking and cooking with her mom or cleaning (which she loved and was SO good at). She loved making her famous pasta salad for all to enjoy. She always loved smiley faces, peace signs, rainbows, unicorns, sunshine, and the color yellow. As she got older, she began to travel the unfortunate road of addiction. While her death may be unexpected, she suffered from the addiction for so long that it would have her family always wondering in fear if she was going to succumb to her addiction. There's no way to encapsule her life in just a blurb. Although her adult life may have mostly been consumed by drugs, she was still a beautiful person who we wish could've seen what we all seen in her. There were still great moments in between the rough times that will always remain near and dear. Above all, Bailee's humor, beauty, and silliness will remain at the forefront of our hearts forever. Forever in our hearts, affectionately written by, “sissy”, Jordin.
She is survived by her parents; two daughters, Ellie Nicole and Heaven Rose; sister, Jordin Rose Hoops of La Porte, IN; her "cat nieces", Kisha and Misha; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Bailee was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jesse Ray Hoops, Sr., paternal grandmother, Norma J. (Flory) Hoops, and brother, Damien Randall Hoops.
