Ayliffe Pinkerton

Mrs. Ayliffe W. "Molly" Pinkerton, 86, of Walkerton, Indiana, went to be with the Lord, Thursday January 7, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor in Walkerton, IN. She was born October 23, 1923 in Seymour, Iowa, the daughter of Everett Liggett and Wynema Norman Liggett, living in the Walkerton area, for fifty-six years coming from Iowa. Ayliffe worked at Whirlpool for twenty-three years. She was a member of First Christian Church of LaPorte. Ayliffe enjoyed camping and crocheting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a loving mother and grandmother. On July 31, 1943, she married A. Edwin Pinkerton who preceded in death February 18, 2002. She is survived by her one son, Tom; one daughter, Jackie Carl Vermilyer of Walkerton, IN; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Gene Liggett of La Porte, IN; three sisters Kollene Highnote of La Porte, IN, Shirley Glenn Rosenbaum of Union Mills, IN and Gertrude White of La Porte, IN. Ayliffe was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Robert Liggett. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, January 11, 2010 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 9:00 am, until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Tom Padberg officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
