Arthur Noble July 22, 1935-October 24, 2013 Mr. Arthur Noble, 78, of Hamlet, Indiana, died Thursday October 24, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born July 22, 1935 in Jackson, Kentucky, the son of Dewey Noble and Georgia (Hoover) Noble. Arthur had worked forty-one years for Westville Correctional Center, retiring in 1998. He was a member of South Center United Baptist Church in Hamlet, IN. Arthur enjoyed rabbit hunting, and gardening. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. On October 26, 1956, in Kingsford Heights, IN, he married Patricia (Korening) Noble who survives. He is also survived by his 2 daughters - Candy Cross of Hamlet, IN, Sandra (Matthew) White of Union Mills, IN; 7 grandchildren - Heather, Carrie, Seth, Caleb, Aaron, Jared and Deborah; 6 great-grandchildren - Nicholas, Anthony, Christopher, Joseph, Samantha and Dylan; 3 sisters - Nora Francis of Hamlet, IN, Marie Quadlin of La Porte, IN, and Thelma (Jim) Osborn of La Porte, IN. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Charles, Carl and Orval, 3 sisters, Mattie, Lottie and Ann, and son-in-law, Ron Cross. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.at the South Center United Baptist Church 2507 E. Highway 6 and 35, Hamlet, IN. A life celebration will be held at South Center United Baptist Church, Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ernie Melton and Pastor Joe White officiating. Interment will follow at the Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 130 Redcoach Mishawaka, IN 46545.
