Arlene R. Frobes April 17, 1934-February 21, 2013 Mrs. Arlene R. Frobes, 79, of Westland, Michigan, died Thursday February 21, 2014 at Westland Convalescent Center in Westland, MI. She had lived in Arizona for 33 years. She was born April 17, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Otto Ohime and Gertrude (Hitz) Ohime. Arlene was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glendale, Arizona. She was married to Richard E. Frobes, who preceded her in death on September 4, 1989. She is survived by her son - Richard (Mary) Frobes of Dearborn, MI; daughter - Cindy A. Frobes of Northville, MI; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; 2 sisters - Mildred Ohime of La Porte, IN, and Edith Wakeman of Union Mills, IN. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Douglas Frobes, four brothers, and one sister. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday February 25, 2014 at 10:30 am with Rev. Evan Lash officiating.
