Ann Malone

Mrs. Ann F. Malone, 95, of Valparaiso, Indiana, died Thursday August 20, 2009 at Golden Living Center-Valparaiso. She was born May 8, 1914 in Ferdinand, Indiana, the daughter of Henry Frank Fleck and Mary Elizabeth Weyer Fleck, living in the Valparaiso area, for twenty-one years, coming from Cleveland, Ohio. Ann worked as a governess for Dr. Shannon in Cleveland, OH. Ann loved flower gardening and being outdoors. She also enjoyed playing bingo and walking. In 1940 in Detroit, MI, she married E.Y. Malone who preceded her in death in 1954. She is survived by her one sister Henrietta Bischof of Louisville, KY; Chris Shannon, Kimberly Lutz and several nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Frank Fleck, Louis Fleck; two sisters, Josephine Brentzel, Verona Spraggs and one nephew, Martin Malone. Arrangements are being handled by the Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, and IN. There will be no visitation or services. Crematon will take place.
