Ann Costello

Mrs. Ann M. Costello, age 79, of 7202 N. Fail Rd., La Porte, Ind., died at 1:48 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born May 2, 1926 in Chicago, IL to the late Louis Schuetter and the late Caroline Bundschuh Schuetter. She has lived in the LaPorte area for the last 57 years moving here from Chicago, IL. Mrs. Costello was employed by Lalumiere School for 13 years as the Head Master's administrative assistant and retired in 1983. She was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a member of American Red Cross, Secretary-Treasurer of Lambs Chapel Cemetery, on the Advisory Board of LaPorte Herald-Argus. She enjoyed cross-word puzzles, cross-stitching, gardening & nature and feeding birds, and conversing with her multitude of beloved friends. On October 2, 1948 in Chicago, IL she married Alvin B. Costello who preceded her in death on November 13, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Four Brothers, Louis, Herman, William, and Harold Schuetter; and One Sister, Joan Ambler. She is survived by her Two Sons, Mr. Mark Alan Sue Costello of Lockport, Ill., Mr. Cary David Judy Costello of LaPorte, IN.; Two Sisters, Mrs. Margaret Boyle of Sauk City, Wis., Mrs. Lillian Klooster of Anderson, Ind.; Two grandchildren, Sara Maureen Costello of Lockport, IL. and Melissa Saum of Michigan City, IN. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2005 and 9:00 AM Tuesday November 15, 2005, until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2005, Dr. Douglas Weber officiating. Interment will be at Lambs Chapel Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
