Mrs. Alvina M. Carlson Smith, 92 of Redding, California died Monday, December 6, 2004 in Redding California. She was born September 9, 1912 in Memram Cook Lake, New Brunswick, Canada, to Philemon and Delphine Belleveau LeBlanc who has proceeded. Mrs. Smith lived in the LaPorte area, for 65 years, she has been in California for 13 years. On December 19, 1931 in LaPorte, Indiana she was married to Henry Andre Carlson, who proceeded August 26, 1975. She remarried on May 27, 1978 in Michigan City, Indiana to Orval Jackson Smith, who proceeded August 20, 1987. Also preceded in death are two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Smith was a Beautician-Owner/Operator of Madame Lanoise Beauty Shop for 47 years, in LaPorte, Indiana. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Delphine Jennie Moore of LaPorte, IN, a son Dr. Ray Henry Carlson of Palo Cedro, CA, a son, Mr. Roy Edward Carlson of Huron, SD, a step-daughter, Ms. Mary Ann Smith of South Bend, IN, three sister?s Mrs. Dorilla Dombrowski of Salem, MA, Mrs. Florence Seibert of Grandin, FL, Mrs. Laurida Boudreau of Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, and three brother?s, Mr. Alfred LeBlanc of St. Joseph, New Brunswick, Canada, Mr. Eugene LeBlanc of Middleton, MA, Mr. Leo LeBlanc of Lynn, MA. Mrs. Smith has 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be on Friday, December 10, 2004 at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00a.m. With Rev. Jeffrey A. Hines officiating. Friend may call Thursday December 9, 2004 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. And Friday from 8:00a.m. Until time of service.
