Alice Miller

Alice Miller October 17, 1930-March 3, 2014 Mrs. Alice Miller, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday March 3, 2014 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. Alice was born October 17, 1930 in David, Kentucky, the daughter of Jim Shepherd and Della (Hale) Shepherd. She enjoyed collecting antiques. Alice was a devoted mother, and was dedicated in taking care of her children. On July 2, 1949, in Prestonsburg, KY, she married Mitchell Miller who survives. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ralph Miller, daughter, Garnet Miller, seven brothers, and six sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday, March 7, 2014 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday March 7, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Coldiron and Pastor Joe White officiating.
