Alfredo T. Ponce, Sr. April 28, 1941-January 7, 2017 Mr. Alfredo T. Ponce, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday January 7, 2017 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. He was born April 28, 1941 in Elpaso, Texas, the son of Augustine Ponce and Ramona (Tellez) Ponce. Alfredo retired from Whirlpool in 2002 after 12 years of service. On December 31, 1971, in Beverly Shores, IN, he married Eva Floyd Ponce who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Alfredo T. Ponce Jr., Jose R. Ponce; 6 grandchildren;4 great grandchildren; brother, Roberto Ponce; sister, Olga Deguire, many nieces and nephews. Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Eva T. Lindsey, one grandson, and three brothers and one sister. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 10:00 am until time of the service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Danny Pace, officiating.
