Albert Beebe Jr., 80, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday June 30, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 16, 1941 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of  Albert and Frances Vivian Beebe.

Albert served in the United States Army, then went to work for Bethlehem Steele.  He moved to La Porte in 1968 from South Bend and on August 10, 2007, he married Jacquelyn Scott.  Albert loved the great outdoors, especially warm weather, and spent much of his time gardening or fishing.  He also enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach. When he had to stay indoors, Albert relaxed watching Fox News, playing with his dog or doing things for his son.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; his son, Christopher Michael Beebe of La Porte; stepson, Chad (Angie Newton) Pergler of New Carlisle; two stepdaughters, April (Matt Reeves) Calahan of Portland MI, Heidi (Victor) Strzelczyk of New Port Richey, FL; brother, John (Debbie) Beebe of La Porte; sister, Dorothy Graham of North Carolina;  7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as a very close friend to the family Dustin Hynes.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and Christopher's mother, Dorothy Beebe; brothers, Jim and Rick Beebe and sisters, Barb, Beverly and Mary.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN.  Cremation will take place.

Memorial contributions may be made in Albert's honor to the Beebe family in care of Jackie Beebe.
