A. Lucille Britton February 21, 1934-January 8, 2014 Mrs. A. Lucille Britton, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday January 8, 2014 at American Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis, IN. She was born February 21, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Paul Larson and Mae (Williams) Larson. Lucille worked fifteen years as a administrative clerk for the Indiana State Welfare Department, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. On December 31, 1955, in La Porte, she married Grover Britton who preceded her in death on December 15, 2000. She is survived by her 3 sons - Donald Britton of Great Falls, MT, Steven Britton of Michigan City, IN, Kenneth Britton of La Porte, IN; 2 daughters - Sharon Mayer of East Northport, NY, Susan Paul of Indianapolis, IN, and 13 grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and Monday, January 13, 2014 from 9:00 am, until time of service. A Celebration of Life will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:00 am, with Rev. John Marron, officiating.
